Kingbright Electronic Co. Ltd., Taiwan have advised that following the discontinuation of the normal polarity red SR chip (AlGaAs technology) some Through-hole LEDs and SMD-LEDs will be moved to End of Life (EOL) status. This change will also take advantage of newer chip technology offering improved stability and luminous intensity.
This will affect only the part numbers detailed on the attached schedule. Please check which of the listed part numbers are purchased by your company and change as soon as possible to the listed replacement.
Data sheets for the replacement items and samples for approval are available upon request.
In summary, with affect from 1st May 2011 all listed part numbers with the normal polarity red SR chip will no longer be available.
